DOHC minus one

I went to move the car when it made an awful sound for a couple of seconds and stuttered and died.

Any ideas on what caused that?

Cam is not seized. Oil pump works fine. No loose or missing hardware.

All I can surmise is the big cam was too much for the sprocket. Shopping for billet sprockets, HD secondary chain and possibly adjustable sprockets.

Of course we don't know the condition of the pistons or valves yet.

Not cool, I'll say the chain failed, then tore up the sprocket. I see the same clearance mods on the exh cam bearing tower that we did on the Cobra.
