I'll be happy if I can get the new engine done, in the car, tuned and running by summer. Christmas, on top of new tires for both daily drivers is a good early indication that that's not going to happen.

Looks like a good list. I picked up a built 383 stroker and m21 Trans for my 68. I am going to order a couple go fast parts for the zl1 soon.

I have the brake cooling kit in the garage off of my cobra. It has the orange hose that connects from the holes by the fog light to the cooling plate behind the brakes. Not sure what the black plastic ducts in the pics are for.

Also have a front set of Tokico D-Spec front struts. Low mileage but I had coil overs on them.

Let me know if you are interested.

I am hoping to install and tune a complete retrofit fuel injection system on my Dart. I'd also like to upgrade it to rack steering if I can come up with the extra $$

I still have no plans to change anything on the SRT 10. It does what I need just fine the way it came from the factory.

Yeah, I picked a 5.3 up this summer. I have it torn down and ready to be put back together as soon as I can build up some funds. The plan is to pick up a mild cam that will help a little, for now, and respond decent to the boost later (something like an ls6 or a 200-224). Aside from that, I'll just do the ARP bolts, new mls gaskets, and toss it in the car. That will at least get me on the road. If I do that much now, hopefully, I wouldnt have to redo anything aside from widening the top ring gap when I add the turbo down the road.

If I go that route, at least I can drive it while I piece a junkyard turbo together, because it looks like that's not going to be a possibility for at least a few years.

I'm disappointed... Not one mention of suspension or brakes

That would be good. At least you could get it back out and play around with it. Did you get your Trans issues completly fixed? I know you had a pinched wire that was causing issues.

If I don't get it running, it's not going to need either. Brakes are sufficient. The suspension isn't where I want it, but it's at least roadworthy. It NEEDS the engine done, and it NEEDS back tires. Those will both get done before I even think of anything else.

Who knows, lol. It ran good up until the day it blew. It felt like it jumped a few times the run before my last one, and right when it grenaded, but I don't know if it was a trans issue, or if it was the engine on it's way out. Guess I'll find out when I drive it. I do know I need a new sending unit. The 98's were a bastard year and had a one piece with the harness built into the unit. Dunno who's dumbass idea that was. At some point, the wires were pinched and one of them doesn't always make good contact. with the unit. Damn things cost as much as the whole car though since they were the only ones like that....

I was just under the impression that all a LS1 needed was a cam... You were talking some rebuild and turbo crap.

All an LS1 would need is a cam and a good tune. I'm working with an old heavy truck motor this time though, so I'll be well behind the curve... lol.

What kind of power were you making with the ls1 before it died? Are you still running stock gears?

Yeah, still the stock 3.23's. An upgrade over the 10-bolt and some 3.73's or 4.11's is on the wishlist too. That's more down the road stuff though. I was only putting about 370hp/360tq to the ground at the last dyno. Before any kind of FI or other work, I'll be satisfied if I can squeeze out 330-340 on the new one.

That wouldn't be bad. If you went with a 3.73 that would help the auto quite a bit. Did your stahl get jacked up with your Trans issues?
