Default Out with the old (Mustang), in with the new (CTS-V)

Needed something a bit more . . . sophisticated. I got a great price for my blown Mustang and wanted something else blown. So I am now into a CTS-V!

Killer deal on it. Under 15,000 miles. Hell of a car. Best car I have ever owned by far.

    Yeah, I knew, too.

I still am underwhelmed by GM's current sporty car offerings save for the V and the Vette. The SS is nice, too, I guess.

Now comes the (not so much) fun. Gotta sand down a couple of rock chips next week (and one dime sized area where bird shit ate through the paint of the previous owner). Nothing big, but I've never really done touch up work before. We shall see how it goes. I'm sure it will be fine. Interestingly, it's a tri-coat paint, too. So of course it's harder. LOL.

Rock chips happen when you drive them...is the car a DD or toy?

    I DD a 1st gen cts-v....pretty decent car overall.

(it's also my 19th vehicle owned and first GM product ever so maybe ford -2 and gm +2?)

Going to be a weekend toy. Doing paint touch up this weekend. Then my buddy is going to polish the car and get the swirls out. Then I'll be coating it with CQuartz (two coats) a couple of days later.

Will keep eel the paint like new for at least two years. Probably longer with how little it will be exposed to the elements.

im planning on keeping it for 3-4 years. Trading it in on a next gen V or C63 depending which one I end up liking more. Likely the V.

Going in for cutouts on the 27th. I can't weld OR wire, so Cincy Speed is doing the work.

Should sound good. As far as the wiring, there's not a whole lot to it. On the QTP's, it's just a matter of connecting the red wire to a 12v source, the black to a ground, drilling a mount hole for the switch, and routing the wires from the cutouts to the switch.

I've seen a CTS-V coupe in Uniontown that had some body kit and aftermarket wheels. It had super aggressive stance nicest one I've seen so far. I thougt maybe it could have been a Hennesy or something of that nature?
