Nissan Titan?

I know a few folks here have had titans, and also owned other trucks..

How did they stack up

Mileage
towing ( both capacity and feel)
overall comfort and drivability?


thinking about a truck and weighing my options... trucks have gotten absolutely stupid expensive here lately.

The Titans are fine but mileage is going to be terrible. But then, it's terrrible with any full size in WV.

Don't know much about the Titan but I do know you buying a full size 4x4 don't expect any sort of gas milage. My dakota was the best I have even gotten out of a truck. I get 12-15 in town with the Ram depending on how much I make it sing.

My friend has one and really likes it. He has the bully dog tuner on it to help with the fuel economy.

I bought mine new in 05. It was a king cab se 4x4. Stock for stock, it had a slight edge over the sss. Mileage averaged 16-17. I could squeeze 20 out of it on the highway, but the habits I possess made it difficult. I never towed anything, but hauled a couple 1-ton loads of cinder blocks and dirt in it with no problem at all. It was one of, if not the, most comfortable vehicle I've had. I'd still have it now if it weren't for the t-bone incident. It did its job there too. Pretty miraculous that I took a 40 mph shot under the driver door and not only didn't get hurt, but drove it away afterward. After owning one for about 5 years, I've got nothing bad to say about them.

That it did. It had close to 80k on it, I think. It wasn't too far from being paid for when the stupid cunt smashed into it.

Don't know much about Nissans other than they look a little better than the Toyota full size. A little more about my experience with full size fuel mileage...

My Ram is the most unpredictable truck I have ever owned when it comes to gas mileage. This weekend I got 15.8. Normally it is more like 15.4. A few weeks ago, I got a 14.2.
Everybody knows how much I like the on-board mileage guesser and this one is no better. It is USUALLY within 1 mpg but often can be as far off as 2. If I used the guesser and didn't really check the mileage, I would be lead to believe the fuel usage was more stable.

Did you check the mileage manually to get those numbers? That is dam good mileage for a full size.

I had to check manually. It didn't have one of those fancy checker things in it. 90% of the driving I did in it was back and forth between Parsons, Elkins and Adrian. I didn't see alot of city miles back then. I miss not having to use 93 octane too...

My truck has 10.5cr and recommends 92 but it don't get it. I like how they recommend but not require. Thing probably has 3 knock sensors, I make sure they get a workout.
