Default 1998 Mustang Cobra Need Real World Value

Just as the title states. What would a 1998 Mustang Cobra Hard Top be worth? It looks to be in excellent condition with aftermarket wheels.
Maybe give me a quick sale range?

I'd guess 7k would probably be decent enough.

I like the color of that one, but with the white top on top of it....

The one I'm looking at is black and looks new in the pics. Of course, it should have a 4 cam engine but what else should I look for to authenticate it being a Cobra?

The 98's came with a 1995 Cobra R style wheel, but it was a 17"x8" instad of the 17"x9" that was on the actual Cobra R's. That's one quick thing to look at.

Other differences... Obviously, the Cobra had the different front bumper, the rear bumper has the Cobra embosed into it. The hood is different (looks a little taller than the gt's). I just read too that the 96-98's came with Eibach's and the brakes are 13" PBR 2 piston calipers. It's usually pretty easy to tell the difference between the two.

If you're still not sure, look at the VIN. Should be 1FALP47V(Check digit x or 0-9)WF(6 digit sequential number).

I'd say 7-8k is realistic. The steering wheel and front calipers also say cobra on them if that helps

I done some more research last night. It looks as if even nice ones aren't bringing what I figured. I was really thinking the Cobra had some collector status but it isn't looking good.

They really weren't all that uncommon. About 29000 of the SN95's

And that's why I don't want it. I was only dealing it up thinking about a quick sale but that wouldn't be enough cash for what I'd have in it.
