no doubt. The deer came out of nowhere on 219 between parsons and Elkins...8k later, the Subaru is back on the road.

Really? I have never hit a deer or dog. Hell I swerve towards groundhogs and can't hit them.

I hit a flying bird once and a couple opossums.

It is almost a guarantee that if you drive with any frequency on 219 between Parsons and Elkins, or on wv38, you are going to tag a deer eventually.

The deer around here seem to be a lot worse this year for being in the road I think.

Yeah, we have had to dodge them the whole way home when we are up that way.

Sorry but I am now a watcher. The track rental left me with a slight engine issue on my quest for a PB. Now to build it even better.

My wife said that I was scary calm when it happened. I am still not that upset about it. I know why it happened and it was my fault. Was having issues getting the boost where I wanted it all last year so I went a few clicks more than normal since I had the track time. Then it over shot by 2 psi and I didn't catch it in time.

Everyone was surprised at how well I took mine blowing too. Not really any point in getting upset about stuff like that though. In my case, I knew that with all the miles on it and the manner in which those miles were racked up, that it was just a matter of time. I was really kind of relieved that it cut loose somewhere where there was alot of help available to get the car somewhere safe, and I had easy access to it to get it on the trailer and back home. Beats the hell out of it happening somewhere out on a back road with noone around and having to worry about somebody flying around a corner and hitting it/me while I loaded it up.

^ Very good point. I am just glad it didn't happen at the FLDs or they may have beat me for messing up the track. lol At least on my walk of shame at the drag strip wasn't bad, I said "Sorry!" to the guys on the line. They replied they were just glad I kept it off the wall and was ok.

Yeah, it makes it alot less traumatic when the actual car itself is still in one piece, lol.

If we can get a group together and meet a kmart around 8 that would be good. I sent a message to Aaron Baker so see if he wants to meet up at that time.
