Yellowroket, That sucks about getting yelled at for hauling your car in. I do it all the time and never had an issue. They direct me in and I unload and head back up in the car to pay. There for a while they where letting us pull in pay and then unload. Makes life easier that way. I know EXACTLY who had the semi and I know damn well he never drives his cars up to pay. The last time I watched him drive his golf cart up with papers in his hand. Oh well I cant think of anyone that likes that guy so I don't care. Just there to have fun. The one time they pissed me off I loaded the car up and didn't go to the finals.

It's a shame the FAA killed Cameron, because he did have a good thing going with Elkins that could have fed into other venues.
I am with you on this one, I had the most fun at Elkins that one time. It was just regular cars going down a runway. No huge hauled in racecars. A lot of stuff at FLDS is now racecar and not street car.

I would love to see them add a time as well, how much is that to ask. That was at Elkins as well and it was fun to see the times.

I don't know if they could add bleachers or something but the people with the canopy's make any available watching room behind them almost useless. So really only the front row can see well, and forget everyone else.

Price of everything else has gone up, so they figured they would follow suit.

To make up the differance of the additional cost to race I will no longer be making every event. Looks like this is what they wanted seeing that the events are no longer about the racers.

Looks like I will be out of town for the Norwalk mustang race June 14. Also missing the jeep thing in Butler the same weekend so I might get another FLD event in.

Its starting to get ridiculous. We all got excited about the 1/8 mile they were building in Lewis county...thats a pipe dream. The only thing we have locally now is pretty much the FLD's, let them keep raising the prices when it starts costing as much as a track night I will just stop going. I have fun going up and racing my buddies but when it starts costing an arm and leg to race then we will just go back to the Side Street Nationals lol.

All hope for a local track to race on is not completely lost. KingKnob is building a track for us.

They own the land already and have a decent financial backing. They already have contractors to do the job, instead of relying on volunteered help. It looks like more of a possibility than the past few prospects.

I started crunching some numbers and...

    150cars x $30= $4500
    200 spectators x $6= $1200

Why don't we just setup monthly track rentals and do our own thing?

What happened to Lewis Co. Speedway? Or are you just talking about the fact that it's looking like it will never get finished.

I have't heard anything about that place lately.

I need to just get up to PRP sometime...
