Pop off the rockers and check the push rods. Some of them should be bent.

Took a scope to the spark plug holes. 3 and 7 showed more. The number 7 piston was busted and when I pushed on it with the scope, it broke off and fell in to the pan. The 3 was completely disintegrated so we could push the scope all the way down into the pan one rod was gone and another was stuck. The crank is completely frozen. We tried to turn the crank backwards to unlock it, but we ended up pulling hard enough to loosen the crank bolt.

Yup. It is definitely fubar'd. I'm glad the intake looks ok. Im really hoping the cam is fine too, but im not overly confident about it surviving. There is a whole lot of nasty from what we saw inside the block.

The cam and pistons don't have a whole lot of a relationship when it comes to blowing up the way that did. Not saying for sure but just saying its possible to have survived.

Dont forget the duct tape. Im fresh out. Should you bring the spring compressor too or just take them off the heads later. May want to bring a man jack too. Mine doesnt provide the height needed to do much of anything under the car.

Pull the engine out and throw it on a stand! You can borrow my engine lift if you want to come pick it up.

Pull the driveshaft, remove the transmission crossmember and drop the trans enough to reach the bolts with a swivel.

Kenny.. been there, done that. ... in that damn garage lol. I own two car trailers, and a lift. once we get things figured out that will signifigantly decrease the amount of work required.

I think if we get a capable jack and some huskier jack stands, we could probably get it up high enough to take it out the bottom, k-member and all. Lifting it up off of it with the lift would be a good bit easier though.

We'll pull the heads, and cam, get a game plan, I'll get the iron block at the house on a stand, and see what all needs done to it, check elearances, etc.

Pulling that K-Member might be the easiest... but keep in mind, it might not.. be either. Partsman can say for sure.. but the whole K-Member thing requires removal of the brakes also, with the AC out of the car, it might be best off to just angle the engine in/out of the front.... either way, we'll plan it so it won't be at my place for long, or prob just a few days...

I've pulled engines on Mopars both ways and it is way easier to pull the engine alone without dropping the kframe. If you have 7 ft clearance in your home garage, you could probably do it there. It would be a pain to haul the entire car just to pull the engine.
