If it were a short bed truck, I'd say go for it. Hell I'd buy it myself. Being a blazer, though, I just don't see it being worth it.
At least a truck you can put 2k more into and flip it.

Yeah but if I buy it, it will be for me to use and give me something to do to get out of the house. I don't plan on putting a bunch of money into it and just to sell it. I dont even need to fix it really, nothing that anyone would notice if I didnt say about it. I will fix it, but really dont have to. And it will still pass inspection since the outside is rust free.

to mount a olds engine you would need a 350 diesel mounts and a adapter plate to hook a olds engine to a chevy trans

I'd offer him about $500 bucks and go from there. Do what you want though, it's your money.

So did you say screw it on the bucket?
If you have a garage and a welder I'll come over and help you as a buddy. I can't take it to my shop cause it'll be using up space, which cost me.

Thanks for the offer Jay, yes I have access to a garage and welder. My wifes uncle will fix it free of charge as long as I buy the parts and help him out.

And no I haven't said screw it on the bucket. Just waiting for my income taxes to come into the bank so I dont have to get a loan.
