Default batterys dead hood wont pop

so we have got the porsche back from the garage and its been sitting and the battery wasnt charged well so i went to start it and their was just no juice in it at all. so i went to pop the hood to charge it. well when the doors are locked or the cars locked it locks the gas tanks filler door also i didnt know it locked the avaiblity to pop the hood and trunk also from inside. but i manualy unlocked the door but i guess it doesn't tell the gas cap and hood release to unlock so you can charge the battery.. so im stuck with a car with a dead battery i cant charge..Help?

Can you hook up a "settings saver" to the cig lighter and get enough power to work it?

If you cant drift start it, jack it up and see if you can get your battery charger on the positive side of the starter and find a good chassis ground. That should give the battery enough juice to pop the hood.

Three different methods. One should work.

I would suggest The 7.9 #3 first since, I believe up through 2000 had the cable latches, where the 2001-ups were all-wire activated. If I'm wrong and the 2000's were an all-wire too, then hooking the negative side of the jumper up to the door stop and the positive side to the C3 fuse should work.

9 volt not enough volts.... There is one that plugs into a 12 volt battery pack/ jumper box

I think the little 9 volt on is just good enough for radio settings and such. Probably not enough ass to do anything else. Should of bough a cigarette lighter plug solar charger!

ummm if it was for a 9 volt, i doubt the wires are a big enough gauge.

Matters what kind of load is being put across the wires.

    Found this:
The jumper block you want is on the fuse panel by the driver's left foot and has a picture of the hood on it. Pull that out, and clamp the red battery clamp to it. Clamp the black to the door stud, or another piece of bare metal, and the car should come to life and let you open the frunk to replace the battery (or at least jump-start it properly).

Also read that there should be a pull cable emergency release hiding in the fender well somewhere

Easy Enough. just put a piece of metal in both ends of the fuse holder... Paperclip, speaker wire...whatever, and connect the positive cable to that.

If you want to get creative and make a tool for it, here is what one guy did. It's a really simple design, but still a pretty cool idea.
