Yup, or a jumper box or whatever.

it means to connect the negative cable to the metal piece that the door latches ahold of when it is shut. It can be any bare metal grounding point though really. That's probably just the closest though.

Also read that there should be a pull cable emergency release hiding in the fender well somewhere
their isnt a fuse with a hood on it i guess thats a different year

Looks good enough to me. Just make sure your hot wires aren't touching ground anywhere, and you should hopefully be good to go.

Easy Enough. just put a piece of metal in both ends of the fuse holder... Paperclip, speaker wire...whatever, and connect the positive cable to that.

If you want to get creative and make a tool for it, here is what one guy did. It's a really simple design, but still a pretty cool idea.

Hmmm. Ok, so you have the power to the fuse, I can see that. Did you move the door latch to the closed position? It has to think the door is closed for it to work, from what I understand.

Hmmm. I'm not real clear on this one myself. It sounds to me like it should be in the shut position, like it is in the 1st pic. Then you just take your key and lock the door, then unlock it... then you should be able to push the release button for the hood releases.

Hell, if that doesn't work, try putting it in the position the 2nd pic is in, and try the lock/unlock there. If that doesn't work, try it again in the 3rd pic's position. If none of those work, I guess start digging around for the release cord that is in the well.

    Did you read?
    • Open the left door.
    • Using an external battery, connect the negative lead to the door stop.
    • Connect the positive lead to both sides of fuse "C3" (see illustration below).
    • With the door open, move the door latch with a screwdriver into the closed position.
    • Using the key, lock and unlock the door.
    • The front and rear hood releases can now be operated.

Lol. You have the right idea then. I think I saw where the alarm would start going off until you got it on and could disarm it with the FOB.
