Default Any "metric cruiser" riders out there???

Just curious to see how many, if any, of you guys ride "metric cruisers". I come from riding an '02 Kawasaki 1500 Mean Streak, I absolutely loved that bike. All my buddies ride Harley's, and while I've had the chance to ride on all of their bikes, I still prefer the feel of the Kawasaki, better ride, more power, and the braking difference was obvious (dual front rotors vs. singles). Dont get me wrong, I'm not dissing on Harley at all. I'd love to have a new blacked-out Night Train, but I couldnt afford it, so that's why the metric cruisers get my interest.

Which brings me to my new obsession, Yamaha's new 1900cc Raider. I've got "bike-fever" in a bad way and this is the bike I want, anyone want to give me $12K??? I've yet to read anything negative about this bike (although it's only been out for one season). Does anyone happen to have any personal experience with this bike??? Thoughts/opinions?

Heres a pic of the Raider:

If I cant save up enough dough I might just have to start looking to replace my old jewel, I'm sure I can find another Meanie for $5-6K, built the way I had mine:

Anyhow, so who rides metric cruisers and what's your take on the new Raider???

    Joe.

But it's much easier dreaming about it when I'm home and being bored, lol. I'll worry about the money thing later..................there's always plastic money.

Joe I like the look of that Mean Streak...and the Raider! I'd take either one, but to me $5k sounds a lot better than $12k.

oh and I'm diggin the new sig!

I REALLY love the Yamaha V-star 650 Custom, that thing makes me drool...and it's $6100 which is not bad at all. But I need a first bike, so I'd be afraid to buy one of those and beat it up

I wouldn't mind having a 1200 Harley Sportster either, but I'd absolutely have to do forward controls on the thing.

I have a 2007 m109r, bought it new and still ride it some. I restored a 1983 v65 long ago, I love the old bikes.
