ERM is a beast! Did you start at the lookout? I took my Camry down that a few years back. About tossed my motherfuckin cookies when I got to the bottom! I have family there..pretty familiar with it. I attempted to go up Cliffside in the Formula....in the snow. I think the speed limit is 35. It could have changed.

the speedlimit is 55 all the way up, at least it is on the wv side, the va side i think it drops to 35. most everyone that drives it anymore does about 30 up it to look at the view. sp far the subaru likes going up it in the snow.. nice way to practice power sliding lol

I'm pretty sure it is not 55 on the way up. I'd have to look through some old video to see what it is coming into WV from the VA side.

    I'd venture a guess of 35-45....

That just seems way too high for that road.

I know the law is 55 for rural secondary roads but I would have never guessed it for that road.

i agree.. most people dont do it because they go that way to sight see, but its a tad tricky to do it at 55 all the way up.. the VA side is 35 pretty much all the way down.. traveled down that way just today on a little sat evening drive.

yea i dont think that i would want to go down it in a truck like that...haha

but as far as riding it on a motorcycle i liked the va side better, way better curves with a couple nice straights in it...

guilty.. there's a natural spring that runs off the mountain about halfway out the driveway there and it runs down the ditch and across. our neighbors that live right up next to us have spent alot of money to route it under the driveway and run it down the side of the mountain, only to fail miserably
