    Here are the remnants of 1 or more piston rings that were stuck in the turbine housing. That's the cause for my dead cylinder in the old engine.

    Now I'll finish up the little things and fire it up, I can't drive it yet I need a 14" tires or 4 15" wheels and tires.

    Ok The Regal lives again. I fired up the '85 block for the first time in this car lastnight. have to adjust the ignition timing and detent kickdown cable.

    I made a small but positive change to the intake plumbing . Originally it's 6 pieces all recycled stuff "sections from a Pontiac G6 and Nissan Frontier". Now I've narrowed to only three pieces and it's a lot straighter and cleaner. So now the surging is really reduced after any boosting session mid or part throttle @ any boost after I release the throttle. It actually has better throttle response and spools faster with that small change. Love it. Using a WeaponR air filter. I need a 4 speed bad I'm out of gears fast with a 3.42 , Someday.

    Here are some shots of the updated inlet tube.
    So I ended up using the Nissan Frontier baffle crossover with the baffles removed and my newest part simply the last 3/4 section of a Ford Focus TB inlet to air box tube. That's it now it hugs the distributor nice but don't interfere it is as straight as it can get to my home made cold air box.

    The plan is to have the car legal 1st or 2nd week in May, I have to drop the insurance on either the Civic or S-10, Probably the S-10
    I've ran out almost a full tank of fuel and it runs great.
