Well Cameron, while the shifter in the Buick is NOT a ratchet shifter I do love it!. B&M Pro-stick and Hurst Quarter sticks are gate style shifters and I wouldn't have it any other way, plus it's perfect to actuate the T-brake I just got. It has very positive detent engagements and you can't accidentally over shift or hit reverse. Pick one up today for the 240 Cameron. NOTE: Hurst Quarter stick is for 3 speed ONLY, that's why I passed on it.

LOL Steve, Yeah Thanks no correction I'm in agreement.
Alright so I should have posted this upgrade before the axle because It did make it's way into the Buick before the axle did but whatever this is how it's going now.
All aluminum radiator to replace the oem rad that had seen many better years, It's a bit smaller than the old but cools little better and that don't even matter I mostly wanted rid of a coolant leak. This pic also shows some home made radiator hold down brackets since I no longer own a G body radiator top plate.

I have one more upgrade to install but not sure if I'll get it in the Buick by the FLD's or not.

Well Fecal matter, I've spent all my time installing my last upgrade and I still can't Rev the engine all the way out. These Comp 980 valvesprings must be weak as hell for the boost I put against them. Anyways Mallory Hyfire 6 control on board now with a 3 bar map sensor.

Fixed everything and the tach is accurate now(cut the brown loop!). There were no issues with the revs before just not seeing it right because the tach, I've been running the engine up to 6k rpm not knowing before.
And now the 2 step is hooked up and works good in conjunction with the trans brake. Set at 3500 results in nearly 10psi to launch with and is already too much just for 275/60r15 street tires. I like the 2 step it's smooth and sound good. Perfect full auto shifts at 5200 and I set the rev limiter to 5700 since I can easily see it revs to 6k with the tach working rite. AlkyControl kit will most likely be the next install. Race gas performance & boost levels with pump gas! Oh how I love you CH30H

Ok so moving on with the latest update: Alkycontrol installed, boost increased, bigger smile on my face. But the journey to get there was not so easy. Bought a NEW TTA Alkycontrol kit from a board member and went about making it work in the Regal's engine bay. After only one real holdup (Battery) I was able to install the entire kit(sans the mini overflow) in the wrong car with minimal fabbing and no problems , I just removed the lower front plastic mount off the TTA tank and added my own top mount strap(WV license plate) and straightened the 90* angle on the radiator support and it was done.

Pump mounted on the bumper reinforcement in close proximity with the trans cooler:

Thanks Steve, and I can fit at least 3 more power adders and another engine under the hood yet, lots of real estate up there.
Runs Great! tuned with Methanol injection on high boost.

Alright got a NEW upgrade for the old Turbo Buick: A TE62 Turbocharger (60-1/76P trim) to replace my current PT53 (5869) that I'm running out of breath with at over 3:1 PR of boost.

New stuff!!!! Not a go fast part but this one is still going to help a lot. Prothane Body mount bushing kit!!! Now I'll be able to launch even harder without the body shifting all over the frame like it's doing now, not to to mention the other areas these will help: body/frame rigidity, ride quality and noises. oh and by ride quality I mean it will get worse a bit because of polyurethane firmness versus the original softly rubber mounts.

Success! on body mount upgrade, but not without working for it. Only had 4 troublesome areas:#6 bushing, both frame and body side. The frame had corroded around the old rubber bushing and the body had collapsed where the bushing mounts and sits. These bushing are directly behind the rear wheels, Typical on a 29 year old car that does get driven and beat on.

Made my own captured nut and body patches:

    Drivers side is done:

    Onto the passenger side:

    And finished:

The body now rides on upgraded poly bushings

    ^--Yes thank you!
Swapped out turbo's last Saturday and went for a little cruise. As predicted spoolup is improved over the one I just took off, Initially It was producing more than 3:1 boost but was floating the valves. These are still just comp 980's with maybe 94lbs on seat, So I set it and left boost @ 3:1 that's the limit of the valve springs. Didn't drive it too much but it kept on pulling where the other turbo was done, and the new body bushings are awesome.

Well with more time to play and a retune, It's very strong and keeps pulling for me and I'm happy with it right now. Need to finish off the N20 bottle and get it refilled and I will be ready to go race at all the tracks and FLD's.
I had Dan Johnson repair and strengthen my carb hat so even more boost can be ran.

Lastnight I ordered a set of MT 28/10.5/15 ET DRAG slicks and a remote actuated battery disconnect switch. Slicks will help traction and the increased diameter will keep the revs lower and more cylinder pressure and the battery switch is needed to be Legal at the tracks with a trunk mounted battery.

Don't forget to run alternator power to the back, otherwise it will keep running off of the alternator when you hit the kill switch.
